Iraqi Resistance Strikes Key Israeli Military Target in Southern Occupied Territories

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iraqi Islamic Resistance has launched a drone strike on a military site in southern Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories, marking the latest in a series of retaliatory operations.

The Iraqi Islamic Resistance, a coalition of anti-terror fighters, confirmed the attack in a statement Saturday, announcing it had successfully targeted a military site in the southern region with attack drones.

The resistance group described the operation as part of its ongoing resistance against occupation, expressing solidarity with people in Palestine and Lebanon and condemning civilian casualties caused by the Israeli regime, especially those affecting children, women, and the elderly.

Since October 2023, the resistance coalition has carried out hundreds of similar strikes in response to Israel's escalated aggression toward Gaza and Lebanon.

The most recent figures from Israel's ongoing genocidal war show that at least 43,391 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in Gaza, with another 102,347 injured. Israeli attacks in Lebanon have killed more than 3,136 people.

The Iraqi resistance coalition also claimed responsibility for a recent Wednesday morning drone strike on a vital installation in Haifa, followed by another attack on a strategic site in the southern occupied territories later that day.

The group has also targeted US military bases in Iraq and Syria, condemning the US for its support of Israel in the ongoing war.
