Top Iranian General Vows Response beyond Israel’s Expectations

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri warned the Zionist regime that it will receive an appropriate retaliatory response beyond imagination for its October 26 act of aggression against Iran.

In comments at a meeting with senior Iranian military officials on Tuesday, Major General Baqeri said the Israeli regime crossed Iran’s red lines by launching an attack that resulted in the martyrdom of four Iranian Air Defense servicemen on October 26.

He said the Zionists know that Iran will give a “different response” at the “appropriate time”, without “hesitancy or haste”, but with “accuracy and prudence”, in such a way that the aggressors will regret their action.

“The response to Israel’s most recent act of aggression has been planned beyond the expectations of the (Zionist) regime’s leaders,” the commander stated, pointing to the operations True Promise I and II that were distinct in terms of tactics, implementation and types of weapons used.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran would never tolerate any aggression against its soil and won’t leave it unanswered,” the general stated, vowing a proper reaction to the Israeli regime.

He also emphasized that Iran has arranged its defense doctrine on the basis of “crushing and deterrent response” to the highest level of hostile threats in due time.

The Iranian military commanders and political officials will neither procrastinate nor hasten in responding to the Zionist regime, the general stated, saying the unshakable principle is that the Israeli regime will definitely pay a heavy price for attacking Iran.

On October 1, Iran responded to the Israeli assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC general Abbas Nilforoushan by launching as many as 200 ballistic missiles toward the Zionist regime’s military and intelligence bases all over the occupied Palestinian territories.

In the early hours of October 26, the Zionist regime attacked a number of military sites in Iran, which resulted in the martyrdom of four servicemen and a civilian.

In remarks on October 27, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei emphasized the necessity of disrupting the flawed calculations of the Zionist regime regarding Iran.

"They’re making a miscalculation with respect to Iran… our officials should be the ones to assess and precisely apprehend what needs to be done and do whatever is in the best interests of this country and nation. They (the enemy) must be made to realize who the Iranian people are and what the Iranian youth are like," the Leader added.
