Iran, Malaysia Call for Muslim Action against Israel

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Senior officials from Iran and Malaysia called for collective action by Muslim nations in support of Gaza, Lebanon and Syria against the Israeli regime’s atrocities.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Malaysia’s Minister of Higher Education Zambry Abdul Kadir held talks on the sidelines of a meeting of the Developing Eight (D8) countries in Cairo on Wednesday.

Highlighting the current critical juncture in the history of regional developments, Araqchi emphasized the need for consultations and synergy among the major Islamic countries to counter the Zionist regime’s acts of aggression and crimes against Gaza, Lebanon and Syria.

For his part, the Malaysian minister pointed to the special attention that his country’s government and nation pay to supporting the people of Palestine.

Abdul Kadir also stressed the importance of cooperation and consultations among the Muslim countries in support of Palestinians.

The Israeli regime’s war on Gaza has killed at least 45,097 Palestinians and wounded 107,244 since October 7, 2023.
