Arak Chosen to Host Iran’s Super Cup

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Super Cup match between Persepolis and Sepahan will be held in Arak’s Imam Khomeini Stadium.

The match is scheduled for January 17.

Persepolis, the 2023-24 Iran Professional League (IPL) champion, will face Hazfi Cup winner Sepahan in the Super Cup.

Persepolis is the most decorated football team in the Super Cup, winning the title five times.

The first edition was held in 2005, where Saba Battery defeated Foolad 4-0.

The Iranian Super Cup is an Iranian association football trophy awarded to the winner of a match between the Persian Gulf Pro League's season champion and the winner of the Hazfi Cup. It is similar to numerous other Super Cup tournaments held in other countries.
