Persepolis Reluctant to Continue with Lucas João
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Persepolis football club has reportedly deemed its French forward Lucas João surplus to requirements.
He joined Persepolis in September from Qatari side Umm Salal but failed to live up to expectations.
Media reports suggest that the club will also part company with its midfielder Masoud Rigi in the January transfer window.
Persepolis is looking for a replacement for head coach Juan Carlos Garrido, who left the club by mutual consent in late December.
