Iran’s Foreign Minister to Visit Armenia for High-Level Talks

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi will travel to Yerevan on Monday to meet Armenian officials, reinforcing Tehran’s longstanding ties with its neighbor and discussing regional developments.

Iran and Armenia share a history of close relations, which continue to strengthen and expand.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei announced that Araqchi’s visit is part of Iran’s ongoing consultations with neighboring countries on bilateral cooperation and regional affairs.

Araqchi has been invited by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, among other officials, to discuss diplomatic and regional issues, particularly developments in the Caucasus.

The visit follows a recent phone conversation between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Pashinyan, during which both officials reaffirmed their commitment to regional peace and stability.

Iran and Armenia have maintained diplomatic ties since 1992, fostering cooperation across various sectors.
