Iran’s Sports Minister Goudarzi Congratulates Archer Zahra Nemati
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran's Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Mahmoud Goudarzi congratulated Para archer Zahra Nemati over booking a berth at the 2016 Paralympic Games.
Nemati advanced to the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio after finishing in the first place in Asian Para Archery Championships on Saturday.
Nemati had already secured a historic slot at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games following her performance at the Asian Archery Championships in Bangkok, Thailand.
“Nemati did a great job to secure a spot for next year's Olympic and Paralympic Games. The disabled Iranian woman has inspired other women to take up sport,” Goodarzi said.
