Iran’s Zarif to Start Latin America Tour on Aug. 21: Report
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will start a five-nation tour of Latin America on August 21, a report said.
Foreign Minister Zarif will begin another round of his international tours on August 21 by visiting Cuba, a source in the Iranian foreign ministry told Sputnik on Saturday.
According to the source, he will later visit Ecuador, Nicaragua, Chile and Bolivia.
The Iranian top diplomat will lead "a large economic delegation" and is expected to sign contracts in the fields of oil, energy and maritime transport, the source added.
The Iranian minister will wrap up his visit to Latin America on August 27.
His previous Latin America tour in May, took Zarif to Brazil, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Venezuela and Cuba.
