Iran Loses to Thailand in Futsal Four Nations Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian national futsal team was defeated against Thailand 7-5 on Sunday in the Four Nations Cup, underway in Bangkok.
The Iranian team was held to a 3-3 draw by Kazakhstan in the opening match.
Iran has been scheduled to play Japan on Tuesday.
“We’re preparing for the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Colombia and I think the Thailand tournament is a good warm-up event for us,” Iran futsal coach Mohammad Nazemalsharia said.
Iran has been drawn with Spain, Morocco and Azerbaijan in Group F of the World Cup.
