Iran Captain Keshavarz Misses Futsal World Cup Bronze Medal Match
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran captain Mohammad Keshavarz will be out for four weeks after suffering a knee injury against Russia in the 2016 Futsal World Cup semis.
Keshavarz was forced to leave the field due to his left foot injury.
“Keshavarz will have an MRI to determine the extent of the damage but he will be out for one month at least,” Iran futsal physiotherapist Meysam Shirzad said.
Iran’s Ghodrat Bahadori had missed the competition after suffering an injury in the country’s first match against Spain.
Iran will play in the third-place match against Portugal on Saturday.
