Iran’s Hamedan Exports over 25,000 Tons of Greenhouse Products in 11 Months

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An official at the Agricultural Jihad Organization of Iran’s western province of Hamedan said 29,000 tons of greenhouse products were exported from the province in the first 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year.

Deputy Head of Agricultural Jihad Organization of Hamedan province for Plant Production Affairs Shahram Parvaresh stated that more than 29,000 tons of greenhouse products have been exported overseas from the province from March 21, 2023 to February 22, 2024.

He went on to say that 22,000 tons of tomatoes and 7,000 tons of bell peppers were exported from the province to the Eurasian Economic Union’s member states, including Russia, as well as Iraq, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. 

He put the annual production volume of the greenhouse products in this province at over 63,000 tons and added that 5.2 million branches of plants and trees of the ornamental flowered are produced in this province annually, Mehr news agency reported. 

All stages of production ranging from planting to harvesting the product in the province are carried out under the strict supervision of technical officials, Parvaresh added.
