US Complicit in Israeli Crimes in Gaza: Iranian General
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An Iranian general condemned the US’ complicity with the Israeli regime in the bloody military campaign against the Gaza Strip.
“The aggressive US has started at least three wars and the Zionist regime has also waged at least seven wars in our region in the past four decades,” Commander of Khatam al-Anbia Headquarters Major General Gholam Ali Rashid said on Friday.
The US, the Zionist regime and the arrogant powers have imposed at least 17 wars on the region during the past 45 days, he said.
The general noted that the US has stood by the Zionist regime in all wars and has backed the aggressors against the oppressed nations in various conflicts, such as by supporting former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein in the war against Iran in the 1980s.
“In the current war in occupied Palestine, the Americans have stood against the oppressed Palestinian nation by providing full support for the Zionist regime and are definitely complicit in the Israeli crimes,” he added.
At least 32,070 Palestinians have been killed and 74,298 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7.
In remarks after the Israeli onslaught in October 2023, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei held the US accountable for aiding and abetting the Zionist regime in the atrocities against Gaza, saying the US is managing the crimes and has the blood of Palestinian children and women on its hands.
