Iran Appoints New Ambassador to Netherlands

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs assigned Alireza Jahangiri to serve as the country’s extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to the Netherlands.

The new envoy was proposed by Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and endorsed by President Hassan Rouhani.

Before his new post, Jahangiri used to serve as the managing director of the Legal and International Affairs office at the Foreign Ministry.

He has got a doctoral degree in the international law.
