Iran’s VP Felicitates Georgia, Jordan on National Day
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri in two separate messages on Wednesday congratulated Georgian and Jordanian nations and governments on the two countries' national day.
In his message to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Jahangiri congratulated the country’s government and nation on the auspicious occasion.
He expressed the hope that relations between the two countries would witness further expansion in all fields of mutual interest.
Iran and Georgia have close political and economic ties and there are hundreds of companies registered by Iranians in Georgia.
Meanwhile in another message, Jahangiri congratulated Jordan’s Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on the 68th anniversary of the country’s independence day.
Iran's new administration has on many occasions said that the expansion of bilateral ties with the neighboring and Islamic states is top on its agenda.
