Switzerland Beats Ecuador in Extra Time
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Switzerland dramatically defeated Ecuador in the 2014 World Cup Group E opener thanks to extra time goal from Haris Seferovic.
Switzerland football team came from behind a goal to beat Ecuador 2-1 at the Estadio Nacional Mane Garrincha in Brasilia on Sunday.
Enner Valencia was on target for Ecuador after 21 minute.
Three minutes into the second half, Admir Mehmedi levelled the match with a header.
In stoppage time, Switzerland striker Haris Seferovic netted the game-winner.
Switzerland will play France on June 20, while Ecuador face Honduras on June 21.
