Dutch Diplomat Upbeat about Iran Nuclear Talks
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Dutch Ambassador to Tehran Johans Duma expressed the hope that negotiations between Iran and six world powers on the country’s nuclear program would result in a final agreement.
A comprehensive deal between Tehran and the Group 5+1 (the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany) can remove obstacles to the expansion of trade ties between Iran and the Netherlands, Johans said during a meeting with Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani in Tehran on Monday.
He also attached great significance to constant consultations between the two countries’ parliaments and said exchanging visits between parliamentary delegations can help promote bilateral relations in all spheres.
During the meeting, Larijani said that Iran has many economic capacities from which the European Union can benefit and promote trade and political ties.
“There are many economic capacities in Iran and the European Union can play a positive role in expanding political and economic relations between the two sides,” Larijani said.
He also hailed the history of relations between Tehran and Amsterdam, saying that the long-standing relationship can pave the way for strengthening political and economic ties.
