Air Defense Drills Carried Out Southeast of Iran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian air defense forces attended one-day exercises dubbed Mesbah al-Hoda held in the country’s southeastern city of Chabahr, a high-ranking military commander said.

Lieutenant Commander of Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Base General Ali Reza Sabahi-Fard said the drills were held concentrating on inter-unit capabilities of the Chabahr Air Defense Force.

He said the exercises were held under an integrated command aimed at countering the enemy’s psychological Operations (PSYOP), adding that “tactics such as strike, speed, and precision in performing the operations” were on the agenda.

Sabahi-Fard further stated that the Air Defense Base regularly carries out maneuvers across the country to prepare the staff for the critical situations.

In recent years, Iran has made major breakthroughs in its defense sector, attaining self-sufficiency in producing important military equipment and systems.

The Islamic Republic of Iran says its military might poses no threat to other countries, stating that its defense doctrine is based on deterrence.
