Iran, Azerbaijan Consider Launching 2 New flights

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran and Azerbaijan plan to consider establishing two new flights. That is according to the text of a protocol signed at the 9th meeting of Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission in Baku.

Accordign to the document, the two neighboring countries will examine the issue of opening Nakhchivan-Tehran and Mashhad-Baku flights, and will hold a meeting for the exchange of information on research results, Azerbaijan’s Trend news agency reported on Sunday.

Currently, the two countries are operating flights from Baku to Tehran and from Baku to Tabriz and vice versa.

Building a vehicular bridge on Jolfa border was also among the issues raised in the protocol.

The two sides also agreed to resolve the problems at the customs post in Astara, north of Iran.
