Real Madrid among My Options, Hamed Haddadi Says
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Former NBA center Hamed Haddadi said that he would consider joining an Euroleague team.
Haddadi has reportedly drawn interest from Real Madrid. He's hoping that a strong FIBA World Cup will inspire NBA teams to contact his agent as well.
“Real Madrid is the biggest club in Europe... But we'll see what happens in the future,” Haddadi told hoopshype.com.
“It's one of my options, signing with a club in Europe. I'm waiting for my agent to call me on that, we will wait until we finish the World Cup and then we'll see. You know, play well here, and maybe getting some NBA offers,” former Memphis Grizzlies center added.
Iran has lost to Spain, Brazil, Serbia and France and just defeated Egypt in the 2014 FIBA World Cup.
“I didn't practice a lot before the tournament, but I'm getting better game by game,” Haddadi said.
