President Rouhani Meets Leader ahead of New York Visit
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani met with Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei ahead of his visit to New York to attend the 69th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During a meeting held here in Tehran on Sunday, the Leader wished the president success on his second trip to New York City.
President Rouhani, heading a delegation, left Tehran for New York on Monday.
During his visit to the UN, President Rouhani will have a busy schedule with a host of meetings and speeches. He will also address the UNGA session.
The 69th Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 69) opened at UN Headquarters in New York on Tuesday, September 16. The General Debate will begin on Wednesday, September 24. The event will last until October 1.
