Commander Highlights Iran’s Close Watch on Borders
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A top IRGC commander stressed that Iran fully monitors the hostile moves against the country, noting that such dominance covers the borders as well.
Speaking to reporters in Iran’s southeastern city of Zahedan on Thursday, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Lieutenant Commander Brigadier General Hossein Salami said the high degree of security in the country has been acquired by reliance on the popular forces.
The commander underlined that Iran has full intelligence control over the dissident activities, noting that enemies will never succeed to damage the Islamic Republic as long as the country’s security has its roots in the people.
In separate remarks on Wednesday, Iran’s Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli also affirmed that security prevails along the country’s borders with “full preparedness.”
“With full preparedness, we have control over the country’s borders and have provided security along them,” the minister said.
He also unveiled plans to increase border security measures at the country’s eastern international boundaries.
