2 Iranians Chosen as Auditor by ICAO
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Two Iranian civil aviation experts were chosen by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as international auditors for aviation security.
Hassan Khoshkhou and Seyed Amin Mirjavadi, experts at Iran's Civil Aviation Organization managed to get international aviation seurity certificate after successfully passing a course in Bahrain to become the first Iranians to be named by the ICAO as international audits.
The course was part of a program, known as Continuous Monitoring Approach (CMA) with the aim of ensuring global aviation security through the auditing of all ICAO member states on a regular basis.
ICAO is a specialized agency of the United Nations that was created in 1944 to promote the safe and orderly development of international civil aviation throughout the world.
It sets standards and regulations necessary for aviation safety, security, efficiency and regularity, as well as for aviation environmental protection. The Organization serves as the forum for cooperation in all fields of civil aviation among its 191 member states.
