Iran to Host OIC Ministerial Meeting
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Information ministers of members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will gather in Tehran on Wednesday for a three-day conference.
The 10th edition of the conference is titled “Media Convergence for Establishment of Peace and calm in the Islamic World.”
The meeting aims to strengthen unity among Muslims and portray a true image of Islam and Muslim nations, according to the Iranian president’s official website.
The OIC is the second largest inter-governmental organization after the United Nations which has membership of 57 states spread over four continents.
The organization is the collective voice of the Muslim world and tries to safeguard and protect the interests of the Islamic world in the spirit of promoting international peace and harmony among various people of the world.
