Zob Ahan Advances to Iran’s Hazfi Cup Final
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Zob Ahan of Isfahan football team defeated Persepolis of Tehran to book a place in the Iran’s Hazfi Cup final here on Friday.
In the match held at the Azadi Stadium, Zob Ahan defeated Persepolis 2-1 and qualified for the final match.
Mohammad Nouri was on target for Persepolis in the 61st minute but Morteza Tabrizi equalized the match eight minutes later.
Persepolis Costa Rican defender Michael Umana was sent off in the 72nd minute after receiving his second yellow card.
Zob Ahan Brazilian defender Carlos Santos de Jesus found the back of the net in the added time.
Zob Ahan will play the winner of Padideh of Mashhad and Naft in the final match.
