Attacking Syria Reveals Israel's Ties with Terrorists: Iran’s FM
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif described a recent Israeli airstrike on Syria as a testimony to the connection between the Tel Aviv regime and the terrorist groups fighting in Syria.
“The Zionist regime’s aggression reveals that Israel is in conjunction with the Takfiri and terrorist groups,” Zarif said at a joint press conference with Syria’s Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem in Tehran on Monday.
The Iranian diplomat explained that the Sunday’s airstrikes by Israeli warplanes were carried out to “boost terrorists' morale” fighting in Syria.
According to the Syrian military, Israeli planes bombed an area near Damascus international airport and the town of Dimas on Sunday.
No casualties were reported. There has been no confirmation of the air strikes from Israel
Israel has conducted several air strikes on Syria since 2011.
