Iranian MP, Czech Envoy Confer on Parliamentary Ties
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Head of the Iran-Czech Parliamentary Friendship Group Vahid Ahmadi and the Czech envoy to Tehran Petr Å tÄ›pánek discussed ways to boost the two countries' parliamentary ties.
During the meeting held in Tehran on Sunday, Ahmadi hailed the capacities and capabilities of the two countries, and said they (the capacities) have paved a proper ground for the expansion of friendly relations between the two countreis in all fields.
The Iranian lawmaker further noted that expansion of parliamentary relations can make the two sides more aware of each other’s capabilities in a bid to expand mutual cooperation.
Ahmadi also expressed the hope that barriers to mutual cooperation between the two countries would be removed.
ŠtÄ›pánek, for his part, said that the Czech government and parliament welcome the expansion of bilateral ties with Tehran in all fields, and hoped for an increase in the level of mutual relations.
Earlier on October, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani had expressed the hope that “long-lasting relations” between Iran and the Czech Republic would expand in line with the mutual interests of the two nations.
