Iranian Cultural Month to Be Held in Italy

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Cultural Month, an event organized by the country’s cultural attaché in Rome and Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, will be held in the Italian capital in coming days.

The Iranian Cultural Month is scheduled to be held from Thursday, March 12, for 40 days, involving a wide range of cultural activities.

An exhibition of works of art, including miniatures, calligraphy, painting, pottery and photographs depicting old and new Tehran belonging to about 50 Iranian artists, is among the cultural activities due to be performed during the cultural month.

Displaying seven Iranian films on social issues with Italian subtitles are also part of the programs of the big event in Rome.

A number of books translated into Italian language by Iran’s cultural attaché will also be unveiled in the event.

A conference on Iran studies, focused on the contemporary literature of the Western Asian country is also planned to be held in University of Bologna with Iranian and Italian academics in attendance.

Iran and Italy have stepped up efforts in the recent months to strengthen bilateral relations in diverse areas, including culture and education.
