Ayatollah Khamenei Condoles Passing Away of President Rouhani’s Mother
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei offered condolences over passing away of President Hassan Rouhani’s mother.
In a message on Friday, the Supreme Leader expressed condolences to President Rouhani over the death of his mother.
The president’s mother, Sekineh Payvandi, passed away on Friday at the age of 90.
In separate messages, high-ranking Iranian officials, including Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani, Chairman of Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, expressed sympathy with the president.
