Persepolis Ready to Beat Al-Nasr in ACL, Coach Says

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran's Persepolis interim coach Hossein Abdi said that they are well-prepared to defeat Al-Nasr of Saudi Arabia.

Group A leader Persepolis will host the Saudi Arabian powerhouse on Wednesday in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.

Coach-less Persepolis football team will be headed by assistant coach Abdi in the crucial AFC Champions League match.

“We’ve studied their strengths and weaknesses points and are ready to defeat them. Al-Nasr is a team who scored 51 goals in the current Saudi Arabian league. It has won 16 matches out of 21. They suffered two defeats and drew three games,” he added.

“We want Persepolis fans to come to stadium in match against Al-Nasr to create a positive atmosphere,” he added.

Persepolis is at the top of Group A with six points, one point clear of Al-Nasr.
