Int’l Section of Fajr Film Festival Kicks Off in Tehran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The international section of the 33rd Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) was inaugurated in a special ceremony here in Tehran on Saturday.
The ceremony was attended by Iranian arts and cultural officials and figures as well as foreign guests.
This is the first edition of the festival in which the international section is held separately from the national section.
Also for the first time, representatives of the participating films in the competitive section of the festival, including actors, directors and producers are attending the event.
According to the Public Relations Office of the 33rd FIFF, 30 international filmmakers, actors, and producers of the participating films in two competitive sections of the festival “Salvation Cinema” (world cinema) and “East Panorama” (Asian Cinema) will attend in Q&A sessions of their films.
The international filmmakers will have joint meetings and sessions with Iranian directors who will be in Q&A sessions once their films are screened.
