Iran Calls Israel Main Cause of Regional Crises, Threat to World Peace
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Zionist regime of Israel has been the main force behind the ongoing crises in the Middle East and poses a real threat to world security, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
“Since the establishment of the illegitimate Zionist regime at the heart of the occupied Islamic territories in Palestine, we have witnessed the increase in the pain and suffering of the oppressed and distressed people of Palestine and the regional nations,” the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The statement came on the occasion of the establishment of the Israeli regime, also known as Nakba Day (Day of the Catastrophe).
In the past 67 years, the occupiers of the Holy Quds have not only committed inhumane crimes against the innocent people of Palestine, but also been the main cause behind regional crises and the real threat to the world peace and security, the statement underlined.
The statement further referred to Tel Aviv as a state-sponsor of terrorism, and slammed the silence of the international community over Israel’s support for Takfiri (extremist) terrorists.
The Iranian ministry further reaffirmed Tehran’s support for the Palestinian cause, and called on the Islamic nations and governments to be vigilant against plots hatched by Zionists and their supporters to create division among the Islamic Ummah (community).
