Iran's IRGC, Other Armed Forces to Foil Plots, Give Crushing Response to Threats
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran's Ministry of Defense in a statement underlined that the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the country's other Armed Forces will foil hostile plots and give a crushing response to any threat.
The IRGC, along with other Armed Forces that defend the country, will give a crushing and powerful response to any threat against the Islamic Republic and make those behind such a threat regret it, said the statement, which was released on the occasion of the Pasdar (Revolutionary Guard) Day.
The statement further described the IRGC as the strategic weapon and superior capacity of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation for thwarting the enemies' hostile scenarios.
It went on to highlight the IRGC's accomplishments in various areas and its role in the enhancement of Iran's defense and deterrence capabilities.
Earlier, the defense ministry had underlined that the IRGC is a revolutionary and popular body which symbolizes the resistance and defensive might of the Iranian nation against the arrogant powers.
In recent years, Iranian Armed Forces have made major breakthroughs in various defense spheres and elevated the country's defense capabilities to unprecedented levels.
The Islamic Republic, however, has repeatedly said its military might poses no threat to other countries, insisting that its defense doctrine is merely based on deterrence.
