Saudi Arabia Chooses Ambassador to Iraq
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Al-Arabiya satellite channel reported on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia has named Thamer al-Sabhan as an ambassador to Iraq.
The Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs , Ibrahim al-Jaafari had announced last month Iraq's acceptance to the new Saudi ambassador, who has been nominated for the resumption of diplomatic relations and opening the Saudi embassy in Baghdad soon.
Jaafari said earlier that Saudi Arabia has nominated the figure’s name, which will open the Saudi Embassy in Baghdad for the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
