US Academic Delegation Meets Tehran University Chancellor
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An academic delegation from the United States held talks with the chancellor of the University of Tehran on ways to promote mutual cooperation between Iran and the US in the area of science.
In the meeting held on Sunday, Chancellor Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi introduced the University of Tehran and its scientific status in the region and the world and highlighted the importance of international academic cooperation.
He also voiced the university's readiness to develop collaborations with American universities in the area of science and technology.
In his remarks, the head of the US delegation said their trip to Iran is aimed at learning more about Iran's system of higher education and promoting academic cooperation between the two nations.
The delegation includes officials from various US universities like the University of South Carolina, Saint Peter's University, Wayne State University, and Ball State University.
Iranian academics and university students have in recent years made great headways in various fields of modern science.
