Iran, Group 5+1 to Hold Ministerial Meeting Tomorrow

VIENNA (Tasnim) – The foreign ministers of Iran and six world powers plan to gather again in Vienna, Austria, on Sunday for talks over Tehran’s peaceful nuclear energy program.

The next round of nuclear negotiations between the foreign ministers of Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) will be held on Sunday, a French diplomat was quoted by TASS news agency as saying on Friday.

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius will return to the Austrian capital of Vienna on July 5, the French source said.

"I intend to return Sunday evening. And I hope we will then be in place to move towards a definitive solution which will allow a robust accord," Fabius had told reporters earlier on Thursday.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (alternatively known as P5+1 or E3+3) have been negotiating over the past 22 months to end more than a decade of standoff over Tehran's civilian nuclear program once and for all.

The two sides are busy negotiating in the Austrian capital to clinch a nuclear deal.

On Tuesday, the parties gave themselves an extra week beyond an end-June deadline to nail down details of the long-awaited accord.
