Iranian Media to Attend Moscow Int'l Book Fair

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An Iranian official announced on Sunday that four Iranian media outlets will cover the upcoming Moscow International Book Fair due to be held in the Russian capital next month.

Managing Director of Iran's Cultural Exhibitions Institute Amir Massoud Shahramnia said that reporters from the Tasnim News Agency, Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), and Nasim as well as the Sharq Daily will cover the 28th edition of Moscow International Book Fair (MIBF).

In this edition, Iran is the guest of honor with a free area of 300 square meters dedicated to Iranian cultural bodies present in the fair to hold workshops on Persian calligraphy, miniature, and music.

On the sidelines of the event, a special program titled "A Day for Iran" will be held, Shahram-Nia said.

Iran's Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Ali Jannati and some of his deputies will also visit the book fair, according to a Mehr News Agency report.

Annually, more than 500 exhibitors, thousands of visitors, and over 60 countries take part in the international cultural event.
