Iranian, Syrian Officials Discuss Cooperation on Culture
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati and Syria’s Ambassador to Tehran Adnan Mahmoud explored avenues for Tehran-Damascus cooperation in cultural fields.
At the meeting in Tehran on Sunday, the Iranian minister lauded the resistance shown by the Syrian nation and army to terrorism.
He further deplored crimes committed by extremist groups in the Arab country.
As regards mutual cooperation, Jannati said Iran is prepared for closer cooperation with Syria in the field of arts and media.
The Syrian diplomat, too, said the two Muslim countries can withstand the western cultural attack by developing ties among their poets and writers.
