Five Shooters to Represent Iran at IPC Shooting World Cup in Sydney


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran will participate with five athletes at the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Shooting World Cup due to be held in Sydney.

Alieh Mahmoudi, Sareh Javanmardi, Masoumeh Khodabakhshi and Samira Eram will represent Iran in the women’s section and Mehdi Zamani will participate in the men’s section.

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Shooting World Cup will be held in Sydney, Australia from September 15 to 19.

The competition will bring over 300 athletes from around the world together.

IPC Shooting has confirmed that 34 National Paralympic Committees have so far secured coveted quota places for shooting at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, including four that have qualified directly for the first time, paralympic.org.

The last IPC Shooting World Cup of the season in Fort Benning, USA, will take place between November 3-7, offering athletes the final opportunity to qualify.
