Iran Earns Victory over Egypt at FIVB Volleyball World Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Egypt in straight sets (25-18, 25-11, 25-23) in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Cup at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium on Wednesday.
Seyed Mohammad Mousavi led by his post at the middle with 12 points to emerge as the Most Impressive Player. Mojtaba Mirzajanpour also charted 12 points.
Ahmed Abdelhay scored 13 point s for Egyptians.
Sloboda Kovac’s men defeated Tunisia, Venezuela, Japan and Egypt in the tournament.
Iran lost to Argentina, Poland, Russia, USA, Italy, Australia and Canada and finished in eight place.
The tournament was a qualification process for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
