Iran, South Africa Ink 3 MoUs
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - In a Saturday ceremony attended by Iranian and South African vice presidents, the two countries signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) on economic cooperation.
The documents were signed after a meeting between Iran’s First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri and South Africa’s Deputy President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa in Tehran.
The MoUs include cooperation in capital market, economic interaction and trade.
The African official arrived in Tehran on Saturday for an official visit at the invitation of Jahangiri.
A big delegation of South African businessmen, industrialists, and investors accompany Ramaphosa in the trip.
Expansion of relations with African nations in all political, economic and cultural fields is top on the agenda of Iran’s foreign policy.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who took office in August 2013, has repeatedly stressed his government’s interest in boosting relations with African states.
