Iran’s Sa’di Foundation Keen for Cultural Cooperation with Russia: Chief


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Director of Iran’s Sa'di Foundation Gholam Ali Haddad Adel said the institution is ready to cooperate with Russian Iranologists and university professors of Persian language in all cultural fields.

Addressing a conference in the Iranian embassy in Moscow on Friday, Haddad Adel highlighted Russian Iranologists’ role in boosting relations between the two countries and voiced Sa'di Foundation’s readiness to cooperate with Russia in all cultural areas.

The conference was held with a large number of Russian Iranologists and Persian language scholars of the Russian universities in attendance.

During the gathering, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanaei touched upon measures taken by the Iranian embassy and cultural attaché to boost cultural cooperation between the two countries.

The field of Iranology, with its great assets and potential, can be a significant factor in strengthening ties between Iranians and other people across the world, he stated.

Iran and Russia have had long-standing cultural interactions. The two countries’ ties in cultural fields have been notably growing recently.

Back on September 5, a special program titled “A Day for Iran” was held at the Moscow International Book Fair (MIBF).

During A Day for Iran, a number of Iranian books translated into Russian were unveiled and several Russian Iranologists were honored.

In this edition of the MIBF, Iran was the guest of honor with a free area of 300 square meters dedicated to Iranian cultural bodies present in the fair to hold workshops on Persian calligraphy, miniature, and music.
