In Riga as the final leg of his European tour, Zarif had separate meetings with Speaker of the Saeima (Latvian Parliament) Ināra Mūrniece and Latvian Minister of Agriculture Janis Duklavs on Thursday.

In the meeting with Mūrniece, Zarif pointed to the start of Iran’s new parliament, expressing the hope for closer mutual cooperation with the exchange of parliamentary delegations.

And in the other meeting, Zarif and Duklavs explored avenues for joint agricultural activities, particularly in the fishery industry.

Travelling with a 60-strong delegation of Iranian businessmen, Zarif visited Poland, Finland and Sweden before wrapping up his trip in Latvia.
