Daesh Reiterates Responsibility for Orlando Shooting
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Daesh (also known as ISIL and ISIS) terrorist group claimed responsibility for a second time Monday for the shooting that killed at least 50 people at a nightclub in the US city of Orlando, Florida, in an official broadcast on its so-called Albayan Radio.
"One of the Caliphate's soldiers in America carried out a security invasion where he was able to enter a crusader gathering at a nightclub for homosexuals in Orlando, Florida ... where he killed and injured more than a hundred of them before he was killed," the terrorist group said in its broadcast, Reuters reported.
Daesh had already claimed responsibility for the attack through Amaq news agency Sunday.
A man armed with an assault rifle and pledging loyalty to Daesh killed 50 people during a celebration at Pulse nightclub in Orlando early Sunday in the deadliest mass shooting in US history.
