Axis of Resistance to Be Victorious in Palestine: Official
DAMASCUS (Tasnim) – The head of Iran-Palestine friendship society praised massive rallies held across the world marking the International Quds Day and said people attended the rallies to emphasize that the Axis of Resistance will emerge victorious against the Zionist regime of Israel.
People took to streets to say that the Palestinian nation is not alone, Mohammed al-Bahisi told the Tasnim News Agency on the sidelines of a massive rally in Damascus on Friday, held on the International Quds Day.
“We have come to emphasize that we can only rely upon the Axis of Resistance,” he said, adding that the axis will emerge victorious.
Millions of fasting Muslims staged rallies across the world on Friday to express their solidarity with the Palestinian people, who have been suffering from Israel’s atrocities for decades.
Venting their anger on the Tel Aviv regime and its allies, demonstrators called for an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine, Judaization of the holy city of al-Quds and construction of Israeli settlements across the West Bank.
Each year, the International Quds Day is marked on the last Friday of the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.
The day is also seen as the legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, who officially declared the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day back in 1979.
