UN Syria Envoy Joins Lavrov, Kerry Talks in Geneva: Source
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura arrived Friday at the hotel where US State Secretary John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov are meeting, a source in the Russian delegation told RIA Novosti.
A diplomatic source told Sputnik earlier that de Mistura may meet the Russian and US ministers while they are in Geneva to present the UN political initiatives for the relaunch on Syrian peace process.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, the meeting, which date and location were officially confirmed by both the Russian and US officials on Wednesday, is expected to focus on the situation in Syria.
