Olympiakos into Europa League Last 16 Thanks to Ansarifard’s Brace
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Karim Ansarifard scored twice on his European competition debut to help Olympiakos advance to the last 16 of the Europa League on Thursday.
The Greek football side saw off host Turkey’s Osmanlispor with a 3-0 score in Ankara.
The Iranian striker scored twice in the 47th and 87th minutes while Tarik Elyounoussi was on target for Olympiakos.
The defeat was the first home defeat for Osmanlispor in competition this season.
The Greek champion will know its opponent in the next round when the draw for the last 16 draw takes place in Nyon on Friday.
