US Man Rapes Iranian Woman in Texas: Reports

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An American man raped an Iranian woman in front of her kids in Houston, Texas, media reports said.

Rape suspect Bryce Scott, 42, was caught running out of his victim's apartment in Houston, Texas while wearing no clothes. The incident happened at about 4 a.m. on Thursday and it was the 12-year-old who witnessed her mother being abused who called 911, The ABC News reported.

The child told dispatchers that her mother was being raped by a neighbor who forcefully entered their apartment that night. The woman had been forced to undress in front of her children before he proceeded to rape her, the report added. She had recently migrated from Iran and had not lived in the apartment complex for long.

When police officers arrived at the scene, the suspect ran without any clothes, leaving his ID in the victim's apartment. He ran for about 40 yards before hiding under a nearby truck, where he was later found.

The rapist lives in the apartment complex where the incident took place. He shares the apartment with his mother and his own two daughters. Both he and the victim knew each other since their children often played together at the common courtyard.

The victim was able to give her 12-year-old daughter her phone while she was being abused, telling her to call the police.

It's unclear whether this attacker targeted the victim because of her origins, but what's evident is that many immigrants have suffered abuse in the hands of locals and officers,  both in the US and in Europe, simply because of their religion.
