Dozens of Unidentified Bodies Found near Libya's Benghazi
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - 36 unidentified bodies with bullet marks were found in the town of Abyar, 50km southwest of the eastern Libyan city Benghazi, a military source said late on Thursday.
"Residents of Abyar told the security directorate that dozens of bodies were found on the road of a deserted area," the source said, Xinhua news agency reported.
"The 36 unidentified bodies with bullets marks are believed to be of Libyan citizens. The bodies were taken to the hospital for forensic examination to determine the time and causes of death," the source added.
In July 2016, 14 bodies of handcuffed people were found near the headquarters of Benghazi's Social Security Fund.
In October 2016, 10 unidentified bodies with marks of torture and bullets were discovered in Benghazi's military prison.
