IPL: Persepolis, Esteghlal Held to Scoreless Draws
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team failed to move back to the top of Iran Professional League (IPL) table after being held by Padideh on Monday.
Branko Ivankovic’s men played out a goalless draw with Padideh in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Esteghlal also drew 0-0 with Siahjamegan in Mashhad.
Furthermore, Saipa beat Naft Tehran 1-0, Tractor Sazi lost to Sepahan 3-0, Zob Ahan defeated Sepidrood Rasht 2-1 and IPL pacesetter Pars Jonoubi Jam lost to Foolad 1-0.
Pars Jonoubi remains top of the table with 25 points.
Persepolis is second with 24 points and one game in hand.
Paykan sits third with 24 points.
