Nine Members of Yemeni Family Killed in Saudi Airstrikes
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Nine members of a family were killed in the airstrikes mounted by Saudi Arabia and its allies in the major Red Sea port of al-Hodeidah, west of Yemen, media reports said on Sunday.
During an attack on Sunday, the Saud-led coalition’s fighter jets bombed a house in Jarrahi in Yemen's western province of Hodeidah, the Arabic-language al-Mayadeen TV reported.
Nine members of a family were martyred in the airstrikes, according to the report.
Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for nearly three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.
Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.
Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
